Director of Facility Maintenance & Mechanical Design

This page has been fondly created as a source of information and support for Dick Clevenger. A man that has touched many of our lives in many different ways. A man that we reach out to in time of need;  refrigeration problems, roof leaks, fires that breakout in restrooms, rain storms, floods, tornadoes, holes in our parking lots, you name it, and Dick is always there to assist us in any way he can. Be it in the middle of the night, the middle of dinner with family & friends, or first thing on a Monday morning, we call Dick and he always comes through as our hero.

It's now time that we are there for Dick, giving our support, our thoughts and prayers for him and his family, as they are preparing to climb a mountain. As most of you may already know, on Thursday, 10/23/03, Dick was admitted to Ball Memorial Hospital with a severe headache. Through a tense and trying day of tests, it was believed that Dick had a cyst in his left temple, that appeared to be benign. The option was given to operate on Monday to remove and biopsy, or to transport Dick to IU Medical Center. His family decided to move him to IU to see a team of specialists. On Saturday, 10/25/03, the doctor's shared the news that what was believed to be a cyst now appears to be a tumor requiring surgery.

The doctor's worked to stabilize and regulate Dick's pain, so they could send him home for a few days to rest and enjoy time with his family. They were successful and Dick was able to go home on Sunday to watch Nascar & the Colts game. He will return to IU Med Center on Wednesday for further consultations with his team of doctor's to establish the best source of treatment. Surgery may be scheduled for as early as Friday. I will continue to keep this web page updated as Dick and his family make progress in conquering this mountain. Please remember Dick and his family in your thoughts & prayers.

Dick's Maintenance Department will continue to provide the constant, unwavering support it always has. We are coming together to continue his work, his thoughts and his beliefs that the customer is always Number One!!

I'm updating this page on the eve of Dick's surgery. Dick has had a great week at home with his family and friends. He has been able to regulate his pain medication enough to enjoy his week at home. He has been able to maintain, as always, his upbeat, positive "the glass is always half full" attitude.  Which is going to take him a long way through recovery.  I think that his week at home has been the doctor's best medicine.

Dick's surgery is scheduled for 11am, Friday, the 31st. Please take a moment of silence in your day to pray for Dick, for Dick's family and for his doctor's. The surgery will last approximately 4 to 5 hours, and his recovery in the hospital about 5 days. The doctor's are not predicting much at this point. It's a "wait & see" situation. Please join me in praying God's Speed for Dick's recovery & comfort and strength for his family. Thank you.
I'm updating this page on the night of Dick's surgery. Prayers have been answered, Dick has come through surgery safe and strong. His vital signs are good and he is resting comfortably. Dick and his family still need our thoughts and prayers as we all anxiously await the biopsy report, which will be 7 to 10 days yet. The family has requested no visitors for the next few days as Dick begins the healing process. I will continue to update this page with Dick's progress reports.

I spent the day with Dick's family, the love they have for one another and for Dick is remarkable. This is a strong, amazing family that needs our love and support.  Thank you.
The day following Dick's surgery, I have a HUGE praise report!! This morning Dick was awake and talking, and drinking OJ and water!! His CT Scan has showed promising results from the surgery. There will be some radiation required, but with this sort of recovery so far, I know he can handle the radiation. Dick was awake all day, enjoying family and friends, he was even up walking a bit. He may even be able to go home as early as tomorrow. So don't send anymore flowers to the hospital, no one will be there to receive them, praise the Lord!! The power of prayer and the love of family & friends is a great thing!! I will continue to update with happy news! We know Dick has a ways to go in recovering, but he is strong and healthy and he is continuing to climb that mountain!! Keep those prayers coming.....it's working!!
As of 11-5-03 a total of
$ 290.00

Thank you for your continued support.
Well, if you haven't already heard, Dick was released from the hospital Sunday and sent home! Can you believe it? How happy he was to come home and how happy his family is to have him home. Dick is resting well and getting stronger everyday. The family still asks for limited visitors, so Dick is able to rest and gain his strength. We are still waiting on the biospy results, which will be shared with Dick and his family on the 14th. Keep those thoughts and prayers coming strong as we get closer and closer to that day! Thank you for your continued support and well wishes. Dick and his family wish to extend their gratitude to each and every one of you. Your love, thoughts, prayers, food, best wishes, and help during this time is greatly felt and appreciated by each member of this very special family. Thank you.
Thumbs Up !!

He's getting stronger everyday, we can't wait for him to get back in the office!  Keep those prayers coming for great results on the 14th!!

GREAT NEWS!!!!  Dick's doctor's do not feel it necessary for any radiation treatment!! How great is that?! His doctor's will continue to monitor Dick with frequent CT Scans. At this time all is looking favorable. Dick is in great spirits, as always, and is continuing to get better everyday!! We can't wait to have him back in the office again!! We won't let him do anything, of course, but it will be great to see him at his desk! Thank you so much for your continued support of this amazing man and his family. Thank you for your prayers, they've all been heard and answered. God is Good!!
Well it's been awhile since any new updates. But I have two of the BEST updates for you!! The first one is that Dick returned to work on Tuesday, January the 6th. Noelle and myself were THRILLED to have him back in the office. What a way to start off 2004!! It was great seeing him in his chair, behind his desk again!! Of course we're not letting him do too much, we don't want him to be too overwhelmed. So all request are still to be filtered through Noelle and me. We are keeping a close watch on him. Yes, WE are still the bosses', we'll decide what he gets to know about. Wow, two women with such power....beware!!
The second great news I have to share is the results of Dick's December MRI.....there has been no change since the MRI following his surgery in October. Which means, the tumor is not growing!!! Dick and his family have been released to start living their lives again. Always being forever thankful and grateful for God's awesome healing power!! Dick will continue with MRI's every three months. We continue to pray for him and his loved ones, and for awesome results again in March.
The reason for this Web Site to have been created is a sad one. But I hope that each of you have been blessed with the messages of love and God's awesome work, just as I have been.
God Bless the Clevenger Family & each of one of you that has made this site something special.
