Project in Tombwa

I am Yema Ferreira from Angola and I am 26 years old. I studied psychology and worked as a counselor in the U.S. I decided to take my skills back to Angola, so I joined IICD's program.
The project I am going to do is located in a southern fishing town in the south of Angola. I will be working with 4 preschools and running programs that address the needs of the community at lange.

Hello. I am Alain Phillips, a Mexican Development Instructor at IICD going to Tombwa Angola. I will be working in Partnerships, Environmental Education and the Development of a children civic program.
The goal is to do humanitarian work and experiment Social Development.

I am Christina from Singapore, a little island in S.E.Asia, and I'm very glad for this opportunity to do something I've always thought about. In Angola, I will be in Tombwa, a village in the south that is constantly lighting back the desert.
For 6 monts I will be working with the community on treeplanting and other environmental projects. I will also be conducting classes for the youths to promote environmental awareness.
This period in IICD is a preperation phase for the projects that i will be a part of. An important part of it, of course, is language! Hopefully when I go home next year, I will be extremely fluent in Portuguese!
