Project in Huambo
Hi, I am Masaki! This year I have just graduated from university in Japan. I am going to Angola the end of July, and work in Huambo, the center place of Angola where government and guerrilla were fighting. My task in this city is to provide educational workshop with teacher association in Angola, and also I will teach English to the teacher if necessary. There is one Development Instructor, who is working on the same job description as I have. As he is going to refugee camp and do work with them, I will also work with those people.
My hobby is language. Because I like to chat and know a different culture and history. Our team is 13 members who came from 10 countries, so I am having a wonderful time everyday. Although I sometimes face a problem with accepting different ideas and life style, I am very happy to be with them.
The life with IICD is one of my life and the best life what I wanted to have. That is why I am here. But to be honest, fundraising is very hard and I do not feel good to ask donation on a road, even it is in good cause. But the more I talk with people the more I know that there are many people who are already involving the developing work and wish a peace in the world. So I keep working no matter what they say to make my project possible and my dream comes true, because words cannot bring me down!!!
