| Igor Yakimov is a graduate of the prestigous Choboskary military school where he was trained in the art of Russian combat and sport Sambo. He was two time Russian national Sambo champion and one time international Sambo champion. He currently holds the rank of Master Class Instructor and is the North American Representative for F.I.A.S., the largest Sambo sanctioning body in the world. He is also the 1999 world Judo Champion in the masters class, haveing won the gold that summer. Igor is a Master of the sport of Sambo,one of the important honors that can be bestowed upon a competitor. Igor is also the canadian representative of F.I.A.S the largest sanctioning Sambo body in the world.
