Final shootout between brothers

Ten year old Aaron Lane (left) played against 14-yr old bro Melvin Lane (right) in the final shootout at a Dannemora neighbourhood junior pool tournament finals held last Queen's birthday weekend.
Melvin prevailed and took the first prize of $100. Brother Aaron settled for the 50 bucks runner-up prize. Third place went to 13 year old Marc Barnes also of Dannemora.
Dad Rocky Lane, the tournament coordinator, who lately competed in the 2004 World Pool Championship held in Taiwan last July commented that pool is a sport where anyone can start at a very young age. A lot of professionals are only in their early twenties. He hopes his boys continue to excel in the sport up to the national and international level.
