| Question: How does a cloth diaper service work? Answer: Our cloth diaper service rents you the use of our diapers. We come on the same day every week to pick up the soiled diapers and to leave you a fresh supply. You don't have to be home when the diapers are delivered. The soiled diapers picked up will then be laundered to meet the highest standards of cleaniness and sanitation. Question: What process do you use to launder the diapers? Answer: Our wash process uses minimal chemistry at extremely high temperatures in commercial washer-extractors. Our wash process is free of chemical fragrance and chlorine dyes, and uses biodegradable and phosphate-free detergents. In addition, Diaper Duty uses 100% cotton prefold diapers. Question: Do I have soak or treat the diapers in any way? Answer: All that we require is that you shake out the loose material. This is the same requirement that is required for disposable diapers prior to going into a trash bin. You wouldn't have to rinse or soak the diapers. The diaper is taken off the baby, placed in the hamper, and picked up by the service. Question: Is it cheaper to use cloth diapers? Answer: No doubt about it. Purchasing and handling your own cloth diapers is by far the most cost efficient way. However many people do not want the hassle of washing their own diapers. This is where we come in. Clean cloth diapers are delivered right to your door and still cost less per diaper than buying disposables. Question: I noticed that the diapers seem to be quilted. Does this mean they are less effective? Answer: Actually, it is just the opposite. Cloth diapers are most absorbant after many washes. Question: The diapers have a light stain on them, are they clean enough to use? Answer: Sometimes light staining on the diapers occur. All of our diapers are go through a stringent cleaning process and returned to you ready to use.. Question: If I go on vacation, can I freeze my service? Answer: Absolutely! We require a one week notice and that the soiled laundry be picked up. Question: My sister is pregnant. Could I purchase a gift certificate for her to use your service? Answer: We have gift certificates available for use of our service and for products. Question: If I decided to discontinue use of your diaper service, are the diapers mine to keep? Answer: No, the diapers are property of Brian Lewis' Diaper Duty. They are provided for our customers as rentals only. Question: What do I do with the soiled diaper if I am not at home and need to do a diaper change? Answer: When you are on the go, soiled diapers can be placed in the tote bag. The waterproof bags have a drawstring closure. When you get home, simply drop the diaper into our laundry service bags. |
