Dealing with incontinence
There are many pages on the web, which can give
you medical advice, see my links pages.
These are a must, do a search for incontinence, bladder control,
bedwetting,
nocturnal enuresis, and sleep disorders. Many problems can
be treated.
Also your wetting can be a symptom of another medical problem,
which needs attention.
This page is devoted to one end, helping you get by in
spite of your problem
.
If your condition is the result of injury (like my husbands)
or disease MS, SB or
REM Sleep disorder (RSE) or ADH imbalance, then the doctors can tell
you have a
problem and take your money. Incontinence isn't life threatening.
So much for socialized medicine.
When Luke came home from the hospital I was on my own, I had
never cared for an injured
person before. The things I always took for granted were no
longer simple.
I was lucky I had a friend who worked as nurse's aid at a local
nursing home.
To her I am forever grateful.
I am aware that this is as big a problem
for women ( or bigger ) but I have no experience
in this, short of a time when
I had a UT infection. This was an eye-opening event for me,
but in my case I already had everything
I needed and my attitudes were already accepting.
I was still nervous the whole
world could tell I was wearing a diaper.
Maybe it was a good exercise in
compassion.
If you feel open enough, write a page or send me your thoughts,
I'll see about adding your material
