Im not really afraid of this spider,
but I do wish this room were much wider.
It sits on the wall, at no distance at all,
glaring balefully at me.
My reason says this is quite crazy.
This spider is fat, slow and lazy.
Youll catch it with ease, throw it out by the trees.
This spider is fat, slow and lazy.
Youll catch it with ease, throw it out by the trees.
And its smaller than you!
I know I wont rest while its in here.
I must conquer this deep-held-within fear.
Take a card and a pot, then just throw out the lot.
Its as simple as that.
I shall gather my courage and do it.
If Im quick, theres just nothing to it.
Slap the pot on the wall, trapping spider and all,
slide the card underneath.
I know this is one of Gods creatures,
but the nearer I get to its features
the more I desire to turn tail and retire
to the end of the room.
There! Ive done it! The spiders inside it.
Put the card on the opening to hide it.
Hurl the lot down the yard,
pot and spider and card,
then dash back through the door!
