Scout in Our Hearts

            Nowadays, Scout is a great organization for the students to sharpen and creat their characters. Therefore, Scout of SMAN Sumatera Selatan (Sampoerna Academy) which has been formed in 17^th September 2011 encourages all the students to have better personality. Scout is an organization that has been supported by the Government which legitimated by establishing the UU no.12 in 2010Trainning and some fun games are one of program that Scout has. The students are trained to be great leaders which have great characters ; competent, discpline, and nasionalism. Their personality will be sharpened by daily activities which is trained by one of great trainer in South Sumatera. Pionerring, LTBB, and some other art activities are part of competition activities which train students to have their special skills.

            Students have participated in many competition and camping. Some trophies have been gained by students to school. They have participated in suspicious camping activies : Training for “Indonesia Bangkit dan Berkarakter” in Duta hotel and Raimuna Cabang XI Kwarcab Kota Palembang in Cadika, Raimuna Daerah in Jakabaring Palembang, PERANSAKA (Perkemahan Antar Satuan Karya ) in Teluk Gelam, OKI.Moreover, the next camping activities will be waiting in the couple of months. By participating in camping activities, the students will find their real personality and train their special skills. They are trained how to survive, how to respect others, how to share with others and there are more values can be thought in camping activities.

            Scout is an organization which is a place for students to learn life’s values. Togertherness, loyality, respect are main values that is thought in scout activities. The students are encourages to dare facing the changes of world. Moreover, the students are thought by real life’s experiences by the trainer ; how to help victim of fire, how to make signal if we are lost, how to survive in the sea, and others. It is demonstrated  that the scout members know exactly what they have to do if something unwanted happen.

            To conclude, Scout organization in SMAN SUMATERA SELATAN (SAMPOERNA ACADEMY) is a place which the students could learn to live and sharpen their characters to be a great leader in the future. Furthermore, their life’s experiences would sharpen their personality and create a great personality.
