DIANNE TRIMBLE
Welcome.

I am a Canadian writer, based in Britain, and I have been freelancing since the turn of this new century. The majority of my writing is history, arts/music and human interest articles. Historical topics always arouse my interest and I have written a variety of articles about people and events in bygone days. But I am also intrigued by contemporary people who have interesting stories to tell. So I've interviewed and profiled ordinary people who have led unusual lives and also music personalities whose unusual lives many of us are curious about.

My articles have been printed in Irish and Canadian newspapers and magazines including the Toronto Star, Ballyclare Gazette, Banbridge Leader, Carrick Advertiser, Carrick Times, Derry Journal, Down Recorder, Dromore Leader, Newtownabbey Times and Ireland's Own magazine.

I also contributed pieces to an Irish local history book, "The Brookeborough Story". My competition entry, "The Contest", was shortlisted and broadcast on Downtown Radio, Belfast in their 1998 Short Story Contest.

I am always looking for new assignments and can be contacted with story ideas or to discuss commissioning an article.
