White Mountains, July, 2004

whmts

We took our Grandkids CJ and Courtney to Lakeside in the White Mountains. It is about a four hour drive northeast of Phoenix. The drive up there is beautiful. Lakeside is about 7,000 feet in elevation so it is about 20 to 30 degrees cooler than the Phoenix valley and it is in one of the largest pine forrests in the world.

We stayed in a cabin at Lake of the Woods.

The cabin had a large kitchen.

And a large livingroom. It also had two bed rooms and a full bath.

They had their own private lake for fishing. The kids loved it and caught 17 fish.

They also had a shuffelboard court. The kids had never played shuffelboard before.
