Bandelier National Monument is only about 20 miles from Los Alamos. We had never heard of it before, but saw a sign on the road. We had some time after visiting Los Alamos so we thought we'd check it out. Boy! are we glad we did. They have some of the neatest Indian ruins we have seen yet. In fact, they are still working to uncover them all.
The visitors center gave you a feeling for what you could see there.
All the trails were well marked.
Many of the village buildings were uncovered.
And some were still being worked on.
The kids had a great time going through the cave dwellings. We had a hard time getting them back on the trail.
