Dear Parents,
As you might imagine, we are busy
"wrapping" up our activities for 2003 (a little Christmas
humor) and we're very excited about Christmas!
This week, in addition to reading
and math, we'll finish a special project we've been working on.
(We can't tell you about it because it's a surprise!) We'll continue
to learn about Advent and the true meaning of Christmas.
Finally, we'll enjoy a variety of Christmas stories and respond
to them in our writing and artwork.
On Friday, we have a school-wide Christmas sing-along at 10:00
a.m. Parents are welcome to join us in the church. We will also
go Christmas caroling throughout the halls of OLR. I'm asking
that the children bring in a Santa hat to wear. If your child
doesn't have one, you can find them at most drug stores, K Mart,
Wal-Mart, etc.
Friday afternoon is our Christmas party. We'll be making crafts
and enjoying treats. I trust that you all received the note from
Mrs. Frank and will donate whatever is needed for the party.
Attached is the last homework assignment for the year. I do not
assign homework over the holidays. However, I do ask that you
continue to read to/with your child.
A special thanks to those of you who contributed to our Open
House Outreach Program. Your thoughtful gifts are appreciated
and will help brighten the lives of many senior citizens.
Have a wonderful
Christmas and Blessed New Year!
Ms. Kopilchack
