A big thank you to all the men and women in the armed services who are serving our country now!  Thank you to all of you from the 103 Team of first graders, their parents and families.
Parents and families may like to check in on this page for news about activities going on in our classroom, our school and school community.

Achievement Records were sent home with the white data notebooks on Friday, March 13th.  Please look through both the notebook and the report.  Remember to return the notebook as it is, and also the white envelope the report was in.  Sign the envelope.  The report is a copy and you may keep that copy of the achievement record.  We DO need the entire data notebook back as it was sent to you.  We will be using it our last trimester.  Don't keep the papers inside the data notebook pages, please.

The Spaghetti dinner that had been planned for March 19th had to be cancelled.  Anyone who sent in money for the pre-sale tickets will be reimbursed.  Sorry for the confusion.  We hope to have a spaghetti dinner next year but there was not enough response for it this year.

Huber Ridge has taken on a service project for our school.  It is called Pennies for Patients.  We have one remaining week to collect coins, dollars (and even checks if you feel led to give more--made out to Leukemia and Lymphnoma Society)) for fighting blood cancers in children.  Thank you ahead of time for helping in any way you are able.  The goal is for each student in our building to give a total of one dollar toward this worthy cause so that Huber Ridge will be giving $555.  The first two weeks was a wonderful success and we have already surpassed the goal set by the student leaders from fourth grade who suggested this project.  Way to go, Huber Ridge!  Great job, Team 103 families!

Year book presales are nearly complete..  The year book cost will be $11.    This year the PTA is doing presale orders only.  They will accept cash or checks made payable to Apple PTA. The deadline for ordering is coming up fast. . . . it is Friday, March 20th so if you hope to order one, do it soon!

A new March Scholastic book order form came home in the red folder on Friday,March 13th.  If you want to order a book or two, please return the order form with your check (made out to Scholastic books) or cash by this coming Friday, March 20th.

We are continuing the fund raiser with box tops. We are doing this all year!  Please check everything for a box top and continue to save them for us. Each box top is worth ten cents for our school.  Each Friday we turn them in but you can send them in with your child any day!  Each time your student brings in 5 box tops, we make a big deal about it in room 103 with "an announcement."  Please check everything before putting in the trash.  It would be like throwing away 10 cents if you don't cut off the box top first.

Be sure to visit the Westerville city school's website too.  It is one of the links on our home page.  There are lots of game-site links on our home page as well.
