| My name is Jarrah. It's the name of a strong Australian tree. I'm looking forward to my sixth birthday in September, 2001. Because we might be getting ready to go to China to get my sister we're going to celebrate my birthday early this year! This year I became a schoolboy. In February, 2001 I started Grade Prep. I really love school, especially my teacher. She's very nice. In my free time I enjoy playing with my toys. My favourites are Lego, puzzles, play dough, and my musical instruments. I like watching music videos--especially groups like The Wiggles, Hooley Dooleys and Hi-5--and dancing around to them. I also like drawing and writing with my art set. Last year we got a computer and I enjoy playing CD-Rom games as well as surfing kids' websites. I also love reading books and going to the library with Mum. On weekends I make up indoor cubbies with tables, chairs and blankets and I play in there. I play on my swing set and in my sandpit and love to go to the playground with Mum or Dad. I like to help Mum with cooking and baking, especially when I get to lick the spoon. |
