Using Basmati Rice will definitely change your views on rice:
3/4 cup Basmati Rice washed and drained
1 cup water
1 tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Liquid Chicken bouillon (can use vegetable bouillon as a substitute) (1 tsp = 1 cube)
1 tsp Cardamom (finely ground)
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
Place all ingredients in a microwave safe baking dish. Microwave covered for 6 minutes on HIGH, stir, repeat for 4 minutes or until softened. Let stand covered for 3 minutes. (some microwaves vary in temperature - rice should fluff up with a fork and water absorbed)
