Friday 02/03/06

Worked half a day. Finally left at 1:30pm. Had dinner at the Cracker Barrel just south of Detroit. Stayed at the Knight’s Inn in Lexington, Kentucky. No clock, no conditioner, no towels, no hair dryer.

Saturday 02/04/06

Went to a Flea Market in Kentucky. Jeff Foxworthy Store in Tennessee. Stayed at the Howard Johnson Inn in Ocala, Florida.

Sunday 02/05/06

Took about 4 hours to get to Bonita Springs where Diane’s parents were waiting for us. Had lunch then off to the Flamingo Paradise Flea Market. Then went for more shopping to Beall’s Outlet.

Monday 02/06/06

More shopping then went to the beach. The evenings get quite cool so far. But the days are much better. Played some Tock and the women won 2/3 games.

Tuesday 02/07/06

More shopping. While Aline and Marcel went to play their shuffleboard league, we went to Fort Myers to see the Edison/Ford Museum. Saw the second largest Banyan tree in the world. Largest is in India. Out for dinner at Cici’s pizza buffet. Played more Tock and women RULE!

Wednesday 02/08/06

Went mini putt in the morning and Diane won the game with Paul & Marcel at a close second. Marcel does a funny dance when he gets a good shot. Lunch, beach, tanning in back yard, shuffle board (Diane & Marcel won), and out for dinner at China Star Buffet. Played 99 card game and Marcel was the first to go. Aline won with Diane a close second.

Thursday 02/09/06

Left early after breakfast. Drove on the East coast of Florida. Had a packed lunch that Aline made. Stopped for dinner at Coconuts on the Beach in Cocoa Beach. Very tasty food there. Passed by Cape Canaveral in the dark. Only saw parts of it lit up. Many beautiful homes along the coastline on A1A highway. Stopped in Daytona Beach at the Desert Inn. Beautiful view of the ocean but lousy amenities.

Left Daytona. Driving passed the Daytona Speedway, we stopped for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel.
