Diane Wishart Appeal
Hello and welcome to my family. Let me introduce you.
This is Diane my lovely wife of 12 years and these are my two beautiful daughters Eve who is 9 years old and Rose who is 6.
Isn't this just a perfect family portrait?..and I would like to keep it this way for as long as possible.

A few years ago Diane was given the devastating news every woman dreads. She had breast cancer. It's one of the most indiscriminate diseases and one of the most crippling. Diane fought long and hard to rid her body of this disease and managed to recover fully and enjoy 2 blissful years of remission....Until recently.
After feeling generally under par, a visit to her doctor confirmed the worst possible prognosis. The cancer is back and this time it's not curable. Our aim is for her to live as long as possible with the best quality of life that we, as a family, can share.
In the future to enable our family to do this Diane will need some specialist drugs either not yet available in this country, or not yet licensed in this country. If the drugs are licensed in this country but not approved by the NHS, we have been told that this would mean Diane would no longer have access to any other treatment available through the NHS because it would mean a Two-Tier System. Not the case however if you need CT scan and go privately, you still have access to NHS treatment, or you chose to pay for a white filling at the dentist.WHY?

Clinical trials in other countries have shown the drug ,Avastin ,shrinks the cancer and greatly improves the progression free time of the illness. Great I hear you say! Sadly not the case. Although this drug is licensed in this country it is unavailable on the NHS in Scotland. We know that treatments and drugs available in Germany are far more advanced than in this country and Avastin is one of the many drugs readily available there. We are trying to fund these treatments by fundraising.

My family needs your help and we need it today.

If you can help us raise the necessary funds to allow Diane to have the treatment and drugs she requires which may well result in her going to Germany. You can do this by offering donations or make it fun and do some sponsored walks, or swims, or silences or whatever you can do.

The girls and I will be eternally grateful.

This will mean we can spend some more time as a family and help prepare our children for the future without Diane. Please help me to make this happen and don't allow the bureaucracy of this country to overshadow what is important here,Human Life. This could be any member of your family, do something now, make it count ,for every person who may need this treatment in the future.
Any monies raised that Diane doesn't require for treatment will be forwarded to McMillan Nurses, Cancer Research UK, Maggie's Cancer Centre and Breast Cancer UK.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and support my cause.
