KOSHER AND NONKOSHER FOODS

 

Many of you have been wondering—“so what does she eat now?”  Below are the Biblical guidelines for eating Kosher, and there have been medical studies which suggest that God's design for eating extends healthy living.

 

1.Meat of animals that chew their cud and have a cloven hoof

(reference Leviticus 11)

Bear, whatever walks on paws

2. Fish with fins and scales

   (Reference Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14)

Trout, Pike, Bass

Catfish, Bullhead, Shark

Tuna

Lobster, Whale

Cod

Shrimp

Salmon

Crab

White Fish

Eel

3. Fowl, but not birds of prey or vultures

(Reference Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14)

Kosher

Non-Kosher

Chicken

Eagle, Pelican

Pheasant

Hawk, Seagull

Quail

Owl, Crows

Turkey

Duck, Goose

 

 

4. You may eat amongst the winged insects which walk on air fours with jointed legs with which to jump

Kosher

5. Anything that dies on its own or is torn apart-nonkosher

 

6. Snakes, worms or whatever crawls on its belly--nonkosher

 

7. You shall not eat its blood; you are to pour it out on the ground. Gen 9:4, Lev 7:26; 17:10;  19:26; Deut 12:16,23; 15:23 These are but a few of the scriptures that mention the blood.

 

8. Do not eat the fat from around the innards of the animal.
