I have been in the closet for almost thirty-five years. I was too afraid and always thought that crossdressers were all like the Jerry Springer types. That there was nobody like me out there, somebody who just wanted to live in peace and quiet.

Then one day at work we got connected to the web, I was doing a search for transformers ( I work in the electronic industry ) and low and behold there came up web sites that were Transgendered, Transsexual and Crossdressers. They all used the word transformer some way in their sites that the search engine picked up on. I thought, "Hmmm... I have to check this out". So, I got connected to the Internet at home and my life took a major change, which I think was for the better.

As I surfed the web I found out that I was not alone, that the Internet was populated with a lot of individuals who were just like me and that there were a number of very useful and informative sites out there. It gave me a feeling of community. Up until that time, the Connecticut Outreach Society ( COS ) was just a little ad in the back of a local newspaper that I found once. I found their web site and it was that which enticed me to finally go to a meeting. Now I am the webmistrees for their web-site and became the Executive Director

So, the reason that I have this web site, maybe I could just return a little bit of comfort and hope to somebody out there. That they are not alone and there are places that they can go to for support if they want it.
