resources for Australian undergraduate archaeology students
If you check out American or European archaeology websites, they are chockers with field work opportunities and holiday internships. Unfortunately there really isn't the same number of opportunities available to Australian undergraduate students. I'm sure you all know of plenty of honours students who have never done fieldwork in their life, or PHD students who have to face a very steep learning curve when they are not only expected to dig for their research, but also be in charge of what may be their first excavation.
