| I had to take a small second of time to tell you my story about Joe. I first fell in love with him 4 years ago when Lisa first purchased him and offered him to the public. He is history on hooves. His linage is thick with the Thoroughbred bloodlines that I have dreamed of seeing and owing. As a kid I was in love with (and terribly angry I wasn't born in time to see him run) the immortal Man O War. Joe carries that cross twice and carries it well. His color and bloodline as well as his temperment make him a joy to be around. I met Joe for the first time just the other day. Rusti asked me. " do you like him" What is not to like? There isn't anything in the world that can do a horse like him justice other then to just stand back and know you are looking at a peice of Paint, TB and Quarter Horse history. He carries himself in that way. Do I like Joe? I love Joe! Though he is not mine, I will have a peice of him. We plan to breed him to our Cherokee Indian granddaughter. Joe wasn't on the track very long. His SI while low, shows the potential speed he had to burn. He is training on barrels and is doing exceptional at it. I belive that Rusti can take him to any event and he will do well. Considering breeding to Joe is Considering breeding to a part of history. Who wouldn't want that? I for one have to thank Rusti and Russell not only for bringing this stallion back to Texas and for offering him to the public but also for the friendship that this great horse has inspired... Thanks Joe return to home |
