Getting Started
How Do I Go About Choosing A DJ?
Having been a DJ for over 10 years, and having played at a number of weddings, I would suggest that the first thing you should do is dream. Think back to any weddings you have been to, and try to remember what it was you enjoyed about the reception, and what you disliked. Even if it is something as vague as a feeling, you know what you want. Don't worry about your guests yet, just decide what you like at a party.

Then you need to convey that feeling, however specific, to a few DJ companies, and see who comes back with the best proposal for you, be it with music, lighting, style etc. DJ's are professionals, who should know how to create a mood with their music. If you are looking for a big party atmosphere, you don't want a DJ who is playing classical all night... Or if you are going with a western feel, you might want more Country than Top 40 played at your reception. Diamond DJ Service invites you to test us out, and find out if we can give you that feel that you had when you first started planning.

Why Do Prices Vary So Much for Different DJ's?
A lot of times DJ's package their services into three or four packages - usually a Bronze, silver, Gold designation - and try to provide different levels of service within those packages. The problem with this, is that you often end up being forced to pay high prices for packages that don't include everything you want, but do include a number of features that you will never use. That was the main reason for the development of our one price policy. We know that nobody wants the bronze package for their wedding day, so we give everyone our best! We let you control your own budget, giving you full access to all of our resources, and we take you through all of your options to make your day the best it can be!

Can You Take Me Through Your Process At Diamond DJ?
Sure. After you have chosen Diamond DJ we will meet with you (at your convenience) to get the basic structure of the reception in place - using our wedding planner tool - and set-up the framework of the wedding (ie. first dance song, names of participants, style of DJ you need etc.) At that meeting, we will also show you some of our different add-ons and extras that go into making the day uniquely yours. This meeting will take around 45 minutes to an hour.

Following that, we design a multimedia presentation which shows you how your wedding reception will look and sound based on the choices you made at the previous meeting. If there is anything you don't like, we can change it, and make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. While this meeting takes only about 10-15 minutes, it is one of the keys to our service. It is the best way we have come up with yet to make sure that on your wedding day, there are no surprises.

Finally, about 2 weeks before the wedding, we confirm all the details with you, just to make sure that you haven't changed anything over the course of your engagement, and to make sure you get exactly what you want.

What About On The Wedding Day Itself?
On your Wedding Day, we set up and test all of the necessary equipment in the morning or afternoon, so that it is discreetly in place well before any of the guests arrive. Our DJ/MC will be there at the very least 1/2 hour before he is to perform or handle any duties, and we will take down the equipment just after the show.

All of our DJ's have the ability to take requests, and if you indicate that you would like some of the guests requests to be played, will be happy to do so. Additionally, the summary of your musical tastes and desires will be with the DJ, so that you don't get any unpleasant surprises from the performance.
