| Hoss is our resident livestock guardian dog here at Diamond Creek. He is a CKC registered Maremma Sheepdog that was purchased to guard the chickens, goats and cats (yes, cats) who we were losing so quickly due to a problem with predators. Hoss also works as a guardian our property by keeping the raccoons, skunks and opposums away from our homes, barns and gardens. |

Hoss is 7 months old in this picture to the left. At four months old, he was put into the buck pen at his previous home on a trial basis, and he has displayed adult quality maturity from that point to present. He is pictured here at with the Kinder buck "Lego". |
Hoss saying his last goodbyes to his parents at 3 months of age. Hoss' parents are also working dogs. Both parents work Boer goats as a team down in Georgia. |
