Team History

The Inaugural season that started it all.

As the story goes...

When Joe tried out for the N.A.B.A. (at Littleton High School in March of 1996) the league asked if anyone wanted to start a new team. He, along with some kid no one remembers, volunteered. John Hawkins, Matt Sullivan, John Cook, Scott Gross, Craig Griffin, Sage Faulkner & Rich Wenzelow were drafted that day as original members. Unfortunately along with 5 others who quit before the first practice. John Hawkins was tremendous and assisted by picking up Jason Lindsey, Ken Hulse, Matt Meikeljon, Aaron Mendoza and last but not least Frank Peluso. The team was set and the season was amazing. Everyone played great, the teams only loss came against the Bombers during the regular season and we made it to the semi-finals in the playoff's. The Braves fell but spirits remained high. Many friendships were formed, some great times had but most of all we were the best team in the league regardless of the final game.  The names below are all original Braves with their original Delta Tau nicknamed listed. Pictures are hard to find, if you have any please contact Joe diMonda at [email protected].
