It is a rare individual that cannot appreciate the beauty of gems in their rough form or the rainbow colors and geometries associated with mineral specimens. What child has not been enamoured at one time or another by the glitter of a pebble on the street and consequently pocketed that geological specimen to be stored in a tin can at home? Yet while most children grow out of this habit, some can never quite shake the allure of glittering stones and hence grow up into the ranks of the "ROCKHOUND." Part of the routine of a rockhound is to go through their collection and trim excess specimens; sometimes to provide room for new additions and sometimes to provide a source of funds to obtain those new additions. And sometimes a rockhound just has far too many specimens of a certain mineral which is why I have offered here a few samples from my modest collection. Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, etc. Cheers!
