Sebastian P., a Miracle in the Making

To re-cap this furbaby's life in case this is the first time you've met him, he was born first out of 6 kittens whose momma we are fostering. Slowly within the first week of life, the 5 others died quietly to the Rainbow Bridge after much caring for. When Sebastian was just 2 weeks old, he fought upper respiratory disease and flea anemia, very dangerous symptoms for one so small. He survived! And then at 3 weeks old, we found he had 2 back legs deformed from birth, plus one broken knee from his momma dropping him from a counter she insisted on putting him. The vet gave us 2 options, but the only option for us after looking at his sweet demanding eyes was to let him live.

He is now 7 weeks old and a very happy, playful kitten. No his legs aren't working normally (yet!) but he gets around in his own way, either by bouncing on his butt or walking his cowboy walk. He sees nothing wrong with himself, in fact he daringly climbs the couch and jumps off, landing on his butt and then proceeds to do this routine over and over. He's quite a fiesty fellow, pouncing feet as best he can!

He goes through daily physical therapy by me to stretch his tendons and muscles. He does not mew out in any pain. He has now been seen putting weight on his legs! They stay straight, they canot bend at the knees, but we see a new miracle day by day!!

We thank the daily prayers of all Sebastian's furriends. Even though thet don't know him purrsonally, he has quite a fan club! We all see the miracle in this one precious life!

Sebastian P. would like you to visit Duncan, the little warrior. This precious furbaby was not given the choice to live due to the hands of humans. Duncan, the little warrior.
