about me
My name is Jill (online, I go by Circe). I am 17 years old, born on April 19th. I don't like to label myself as any specific sub-culture, but I am heavily influenced by the Goths. My clothing, makeup and disposition are all very dark and twisted, and although I tend to come off as being generally cheerful, there is always something knawing at my insides.
I tend to use my interests to escape from reality. I write a serious amount, much more than is showcased here. I am highly passionate about everything important to me, and will fight for what I believe in.
I adore most styles of music (excluding rap, R&B, country, and pop) and have a special place in my heart for the incomparable David Bowie, who has shaped my life over my teenage years. I used to sing recreationally, but gave it up when I went for my black belt test. I am currently a shodan black belt in Shorinjiryu Kenshin Karatedo, and have been practicing for 12 years. I love karate and would not be who I am right now without its influence.
Currently I live and am schooled in Quebec, Canada. I study Liberal Arts at John Abbott College, an honors program which encompasses (among other things) philosophy, history, culture, and English. I plan to practice law in Western Canada or Ontario.
I despise the restrictions society places on humans, as well as the conformists within it. I do not follow any organized religion as I abhor the idea of someone dictating my spirituality. I am however quite spiritual, and have borrowed from Paganism and mythology (namely Egyptian, Greek, Celtic, and Norse) to create my own outlook.
I am a Cathartik Entity, a shining firestarter, a manniqueen of depression, and I embody Circe and Akhlys.
Upon exploring this site, an understanding of my warped reality will inevitably develop. My writings are highly personal, my interests shape my world.
