| Mary-Kate and Ashley Fuller Olsen, known as the Olsen Twins and the Trenchcoat Twins, were born on June 13, 1986 in Sherman Oaks, California. Ashley is older than her fraternal sister, Mary-Kate by two minutes. When they were young, they lived in San Fernando Valley, California, with their mom Jarnette, dad David, older brother James Trent, and younger sister Elizabeth, but due to the fact that their parents divorced in March 1996, they no longer do. They are known for their stint as Michelle on the ABC family comedy �Full House� of which they acted on from 9 months to 8 years old. Mary-Kate and Ashley�s career skyrocketed when their mother, at the encouragement of friends and family, took her daughters to an audition for Full House. Since they were the only calm twins, they were hired on the spot by executive producer Bob Boyett. In addition to Full House, the twins have made four music albums, created two hit direct-to-video series, �The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley� and �You�re Invited�, made three tele ision movies, one major motion picture, and have made many guest appearances. They are the youngest performers in history to receive quadruple platinum music certification and a #1 spot on Billboard 100's chart for their first video, �Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: Our First Video�. Currently, Mary-Kate and Ashley have completed more movies that have yet to be released, are considering making a second major motion picture, working on �So Little Time�, which can be caught on FOXfamily Channel, as well as a clothing line and a book series. |
