Chapter 10: �I got
a boyfriend!�
After all three of us got caught in the
closet Tom took off. Jared, this goth kid I knew in high school, ran after
him. Adam drug me through the crowd without giving any explanation. Why
should we? They knew I was gay, they knew Adam was gay. We didn�t owe any
explanation, Tom did, not us. We closed the door to our room and a smile
crept its way onto my face. �What?� Adam asked. �That guy that ran
after Tom. He liked Tom in high school,� I laughed. �Really? How do you
know?�
�When the rumor about me being gay went around at school he came by
my house. He asked if it was true. When I said yes he told me he was bi and
said he liked Tom, I guess he still does.�
�Oh, well then if know Tom he�ll be down here in a while,� Adam
said. I laughed and we got undressed. We moved under the covers and snuggled
up to each other. We lied there and kissed and stared at each other for
about an hour and a half. I�ve always thought this was better than sex.
There was suddenly a knock at our door. I sighed as Adam got up and opened
it. Tom walked in with a shit-eating grin on his face. He began skipping,
yes skipping, about our room singing, �I got a boyfriend!� repeatedly.
Adam grabbed him by the shoulders and sat him on a chair.
�So the Jared guy asked you out?� Adam asked. �Oh no so much
more romantic,� Tom sighed. I immediately sat up and stared at him. That
seamed so�Grease. Like he was going to suddenly hop up and started singing
about Summer Nights. �Well, I was running and he was chasing me and
calling me. I, of course, wasn�t paying attention so he grabbed me by my
shoulder and spun me around and-� he paused.
�And?�
I urged.
�And he
kissed me! God it was so amazing! It wasn�t open-mouthed, yet so passion
filled. We broke apart and just stared at each other. His eyes, oh God his
eyes, they�re so beautiful. I got weak in the knees and I could feel my
heart skip a beat,� He sat remembering the moment for a while before
continuing.
We sat on a bench and talked for a while. I spilled my heart out to
him and when I cried he held me. So finally I leaned up and kissed him
again. When we pulled apart I whispered to him �Will you be my
boyfriend?� and he said yes!� Tom squealed.
We sat like that talking for some time before Tom went to leave.
�Oh yeah!� Tom said before leaving, �La Plata basketball is playing
tomorrow and I�m taking Jared to go see �my world� you guys should
come I mean it�s your world too Adam!�
Adam looked over at me and I looked at him and shrugged. �Hells yes
we�ll be there!� Adam said. Tom left and we got into bed finally going
to sleep.
