"Yukio-sama will accept your visit," spoke an imp servant as he led Sesshoumaru & Jaken into the tai youkai's bed chamber. In the room, Yukio-sama sat on the floor behind a few rows of incense, that was creating a light smoke haze in the room. "Yukio-sama, here is tai youkai Sesshoumaru-sama; ruler of the Western Lands." The imp servant bowed before leaving the youkai to themselves.

"Welcome to my home, Sesshoumaru-sama," Yukio spoke, looking at the younger youkai. "Why is it that you've come to see me?"

Sesshoumaru sat across from Yukio & looked ay the elder. "Yukio-sama, I will not dance around with this; are you planning war between our lands?" He asked as Jaken sat next to him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama, what would lead you to think this? Our lands have been at peace since your father took rule over the Western Lands. What reason would there be for a war to break out?"

"I have come to ask you because for some reason, your hanyou daughter, Miyoko, attacked me yesterday. I came to you, curious of why she attacked me."

Yukio's eyes darkened. "You have seen my daughter?" Sesshoumaru nodded. "Where did you see her?"

"In my lands. When I fought back, she tried to slay both of my servants."

"Why would she be in your lands? She went on patrol several weeks ago, but her scent left the lands a few days after she left."

"So you did not know of her intentions?"

"No Sesshoumaru-sama, I did not. If I would have known of her intentions, I would not have let her go on patrol without me. My apologies Sesshoumaru-sama."

"Apologies accepted, Yukio-sama. There is something you must know about my late mother, Suki-sama. My mother hated my hanyou brother, but adored your hanyou child. She adored her so much, that she had two of her own fangs forged into a sword for Miyoko. But she never got to deliver the sword, seeing as how she disappeared two days after she sent Jaken to Aenaisaigo."

"Aenaisaigo...? Is she not the kitsune sword smith who only makes swords for those who are pure of heart?"

"Yes, she is."

"Is there not a legend around her, that every sword she forges, can not be picked up by those who are evil by nature?"

"Indeed," Sesshoumaru said as he gave a slight nod.

"Tell me more about this forged blade..." Yukio took a sip of the tea he had been drinking before he was visited by the young Inu-Youkai ruler.

"The Ketsuekiken is the sword's name, & it is in my weapons room since I myself am unable to touch it. My mother apparently wanted to give Miyoko an eighteenth birth year present that would serve her well in battle," Sesshoumaru spoke, lowering his head.

"Quite a few years have passed since my daughter as eighteen years of age."

Sesshoumaru lifted his head & looked at Yukio. "How old is Miyoko now?"

Yukio looked at him with a sly, teasing grin. "Considering my daughter as a potential mate, Sesshoumaru-sama?"

"I do not mean to insult you, Yukio-sama, but I do not carry taste for dirty hanyou blood. I am merely curious of her age."

"My daughter is seventy-two years of age. She will be seventy-three in four full moons..."

"Quite a few years have passed then. She would be a perfect mate for Inu Yasha; but she would still deserve more than a fool like him."

"It would please me greatly to see you & my daughter mated Sesshoumaru-sama. Although you distaste hanyous, please consider a mating with Miyoko."

"If she can prove herself stronger than a hanyou in my eyes, then I might consider it. But do not get your hopes up because it is not likely."

"I will try to keep it in mind."

"I am sorry it took me so long to return to you, Naraku-sama," Miyoko said as she got on her knees & bowed down. "Please, forgive me."

"Naraku looked at the hanyou's singed hair & kimono, his eyebrow raised. "What took you so long? And what happened?"

"I was captured by Inu Yasha when you sent me to retrieve you Shikon shards. I tried to return to you, but he tried to stop me. As you can see, I made it here. But I also came across another delay; a youkai that called himself Sesshoumaru-sama. I got away from him by attacking, what I'm guessing, were his servants. I ran into no other interruption." Miyoko looked up at Naraku. "I regret to inform you that I did not retrieve any Shikon shards."

"Miyoko, go to your bed chamber & have Hebo tend to your old & new wounds," Naraku said, looking away from her.

"Yes Naraku-sama." Miyoko rose to her feet & bowed before she left the room & went to her room where Hebo was curled up on her bedding. She laid down beside him & smiled at him. "Hebo wake up."

The imp servant opened his eyes & looked at his owner. "You back, Miyoko-sama," he spoke, sitting up. "You wounded?" Miyoko nodded & he rose to his feet. "On good side. Hebo take care wounds."

Miyoko untied her obi & opened her kimono, sliding the layers down her back & pulled the left side up, exposing her burnt skin. "Can you take care of it Hebo?"

"Yes, Miyoko-sama."

"Okay."

"Inu Yasha, what happened?" Kagome asked, after walking into Kaede's hut & seeing Miroku putting healing salve on deep wounds in Inu Yasha's legs.

"He was attacked by a hanyou from his past," Sango answered as she prepared some bandages for the wounds.

"She was very beautiful," Miroku said as he looked at Kagome. "She carried a Shikon shard with her, but we could not see where on her body it was." Miroku smacked one of the wounds on Inu Yasha's legs, making the hanyou scream in pain. "If someone hadn't yet again chased you away, Kagome, then we would have been able to see it & get it."

"I think the Shikon shard is what was controlling the hanyou," Sango said, handing the bandages to Shippo, who took them to Miroku.

"I'm sorry I wasn't here for you Inu Yasha," Kagome said as she kneeled on the other side of Inu Yasha.

"Keh!"

"Ignore his temper Kagome-sama," said a voice from her shoulder, before she felt a bite on her cheek.

Kagome slapped her cheek where the bite was & pulled her hand away, watching as Myouga the flea fell onto her hand. "Myouga-jiji?"

Myouga stood on Kagome's hand & looked at her. "You must not squish me so!" He yelled, looking away from Kagome. "Inu Yasha-sama has been like this since before the day you came & left."

"But why?"

"Miyoko-sama's family & Inu Yasha-sama's family have been allies since Sugimi-sama took rule over the Western Lands. Both hanyous were very close & almost always got to visit whenever the Western ruler & the Eastern ruler came together for meetings or to just talk. Sugimi-sama wanted to see the two hanyous as mates, but Yukio-sama, Miyoko-sama's father, wanted to see Miyoko-sama mated to Sesshoumaru-sama. After Sugimi-sama was defeated by Ryukotsusei, Suki-sama, Sesshoumaru-sama's mother, disappeared without a trace. And she is still missing to this day."

"Wow," Kagome said, breaking the small silence that had passed between everyone after Myouga's explanation. "They go that far back? Why would she attack him though?"

Inu Yasha sighed, making the others look at him. "She was sent to get the Shikon shards we have. But she was sent by Naraku, so I'm guessing she wasn't attacking on her own if she was carrying a Shikon shard."

"You think he was controlling her?" Shippo asked.

"Seems that way."

"Inu Yasha, do you think she'll be sent back?" Kagome asked.

"If Naraku wants the Shikon shards, then he will send her to try & get them again & again until she gets them," Sango said, looking at Kagome.

Sesshoumaru stood at the main door of Yukio's castle, looking at the elder youkai. "There is one thing that's interesting about Miyoko," he said.

"What is that, Sesshoumaru-sama?"

"Miyoko should only have your fire abilities, yet she has my poison abilities. How could this be is we do not share the same blood?"

"At the age of four months, she was given some of your blood by Suki-sama."

"And this gave her my poison abilities?"

"It seems that way," Yukio spoke. "Sesshoumaru-sama, I have never asked you to do me favors, but now I feel I must. Sesshoumaru-sama, you are the best at tracking; please try to find Miyoko."

"I suppose it would not hurt, or kill, me to try."

"Thank you."

"There is no 'thank you' required since I have not found her."
