Why do I have to see this? Laying on the ground is Naraku, covered in his own blood, unable to join his body together one more time. He's dead... And I'm alone now...
I look down at the body of the man that over the past ten years of my life, has grown to be not only my master, my captive, but my lover as well. I know that somewhere this has to be wrong, but over the time I've been held captive, & was only used for Naraku's carnal pleasures, I fell in love with him.
I slowly bring my gaze up to the woman that was rushing to me on her fire cat youkai; the woman that claimed to be my sister.
But how can she be my sister if I do not remember her?
She is not the one that killed Naraku-sama; no... The hanyou standing away from me, smirking in satisfaction as the woman calling herself Kagome, pats him on the back, is. They destroyed him together, with his Kaze no Kizu & her purification arrow. Though the blow should have broken his body apart, it had somehow stayed together, but everyone knows he is dead or he would have risen by now. I'm caught in a tight embrace as Sango hugs me to her body, nearly forcing the air from my lungs.
Why does she smile so? Is she happy I'm never going to be happy again? She is partially the cause of my lover's death, but she doesn't even seem to care... I've loved him over the past four years & he has acknowledged my feelings. Though he has never returned them, he did not push me away when I wanted to be close to him.
The houshi's Kazaana has finally left his hand & he is currently, sitting on a log, staring at his plain human hand. The kitsune sitting next to him is staring at it as well since this is the second time he has seen him without it, knowing that this time it is for good. Even I'm finding myself confused by the knowledge that my lover is gone.

"Kohaku, you have grown to be a handsome man over the years," Naraku-sama spoke as he ran the pad of his thumb along my jaw line, seeming to admire the way my face structure has become. Though I never can tell what he's thinking unless he shows me his normal body signs.
"Thank you Naraku-sama," I answered softly, staring into his blood red eyes, wondering, trying to figure out how his eyes were that unnatural color. Once the thought passed through my mind, I found my mentally berating myself for a foolish thought like that.
He's a hanyou, that is why his eyes are blood red, I told myself.
"Kohaku, you know that one day, Sango, Inu Yasha, Kagome, Miroku, & Shippo are going to come to take you away from me."
