"It was wonderful to see you once more, Lady Engetsu," said Myoga as he stood before he took a bow, "you have grown from a pup to a full-fledged demon." He bound onto her raised hand from her shoulder. "I will try to keep Lord Inu Yasha away from here."
"Thank you Myoga," the female dog demon replied with a smile that lit up her face. Engetsu was currently in her humanoid form, but had been in her true form when she caught Myoga taking a drink from her; something she had allowed once before. "And remember to keep me a secret until he should come upon me himself."
Myoga nodded & hopped from the old friend's hand to return to his master; with Engetsu watching after him with protective eyes. As he made his way to inu Yasha's scent, he thought back to when he last saw his old friend, Engetsu.
"Is Inu Yasha going to be okay, Myoga?" the young pup of the Eastern Lands asked with a sad tone.
"It may take time for the young Lord to recover from his fasther's death, but he should be all right in time," replied Myoga, who sat on the pup's shoulder.
"How did Lord Inutaishou die?"
"He was brought down by a stronger demon. The elder brother, Sesshomaru, is already searching for his father's murderer."
Engetsu tensed when Sesshomaru was brought up; since she was supposed to mate with him when they both got older. This wasn't welcomed by either of the pups. "Hopefully it'll take him a few years," she whispered. She said things like this, because she only knew Sesshomaru's scent, voice, & attitude. Since she was a blind youkai, a rare kind, she didn't know what he looked like. Her blindness, an inheritance from her mother & father, was the reason she was promised to Sesshomaru. She was also better than him in battle since she had been trained with her senses, not with her sight that could be easily fooled by illusions. She was also thankful for her blindness since she couldn't ignore Sesshomaru's arrogance due to his looks, which she heard were magnifacent.
"Lady Engetsu, why do you say such things about your future mate?" Myoga questioned.
"You know I can't stand his cruel ways, Myoga," she answered, her blue eyes narrowing slightly. "He calls me weak because of my compassion for humans. But it is he who is weak. The trainers I defeat are sent to him & everytime, he ends up badly wounded from training, when I get tired of the easy winnings & send them to him."
Myoga's thoughts were interrupted & he stopped hopping his way back to Inu Yasha when he realized that her eyes had been amber. "She wasn't blind!" he exclaimed. "Why didn't I notice it before?!"
"Notice what Myoga?"
Myoga turned around to see Inu Yasha looking down at him. "Nothing my Lord," Myoga answered with a nervous chuckle. "I just never noticed how great the land is."
Inu Yasha sniffed the air. "Where have you been all this time?" he asked, sniffing again. "and who were you wit? You smell like another demon."
"I had a small run in with another demon. That is all, Lord Inu Yasha."
"Whatever."
"A shard," Kagome said, her head raising to look around. "I sense a shard, no, two shards. But they're moving..." Kagome stopped talking, confused. There are two shards, but they are going in different ways. One is coming to us, the other is moving away from us, she thought to herself.
"Well?" Inu Yasha snapped. "Which way are they going?"
"They're both in the same direction, but they are both going different ways. One is coming to us, but the other is moving away from us." Kagome concentrated on which one was moving faster & found out that the one that was moving to them, was the one that was moving faster.
"Sesshomaru," Inu Yasha growled as he took Tetsusaiga from it's sheath, causing it to transform. "I bet he's the approaching jewel shard. Is it still coming at us Kagome?" he asked as he looked back at her.
"It's coming faster!"
He looked for Myoga, but saw he was missing once more. "That just figures," he growled as Sesshomaru emerged from the brush & trees they had stopped infront of. Inu Yasha quickly found himself on the ground under a large paw, being crushed by its massive weight.
"Inu Yasha!" Kagome screamed. "The jewel shard is in his left arm! I bet that's what he's using again!"
"Gee, ya think?!" he growled before pain consumed his body & he let out a loud scream.

Myoga hopped as fast & far as he could, hoping to find some help from lady Engetsu; even if she wanted to remain a secret. He saw her walking away from him in the distance, still in her humanoid form & yelled for her. "Lady Engetsu!" He made his way to her until he was on her shoulder, panting from the rush.
"Myoga, what is it?" Engetsuasked as she stopped walking to turn her head & look at the flea.
"Lord Inu Yasha," Myoga answered, "he's in trouble."
"I'm sure he can take care of himself Myoga," she said with a smile. "He has the Tetsusaiga, doesn't he?"
"This is true my Lady, but Sesshomaru has a jewel shard & when I looked back, he was in his true form!"
"You told me he beat Sesshomaru once before. What could make a difference now?"
"I believe the jewel shard is making him a bit stronger. And since tonight is the night is the night of the new moon, Lord Inu Yasha's demon blood is being taken over by his human blood & he's being weakened by it! There's no possible way he can handle an attack from Sesshomaru with his human blood taken over; he could die!"
