Catriona Delaney travels to Tokyo to visit her friend Kagome Higurashi; whom she met one year ago when Kagome was at her school as part of a foreign exchange program. While in Tokyo for a five-month period, Catriona joins Kagome's adventures in the Sengoku-jidai, where she meets Miroku.
Catriona has never been one to let a man grope her & get away with it. So when the houshi starts his routine on Catriona, she comes up with a plan to play his game on him; this catches Miroku off gaurd. Not use to someone returning his lecherous ways, Miroku begins to have feelings for the American girl.
After being seperated from the group of friends one night, Catriona is saved by Sesshomaru. The demon lord is somehow attracted to Catriona, the mere human, & finds ways to meet up with the beauty a few more trimes.
When Kagome & Catriona need to take a trip back to the modern era to get more supplies, Kagome's mother informs Catriona that her brother, in America, called some time prior to her return. Catriona's brother, Josh, has left word that her mother & father are dead & that she is needed back in America.
Catriona, along with Kagome, returns to the feudal era to say goodbye to her demon lover. When she says her tearful farewell to Sesshomaru, he promises to her that they would see one another again.

Three years have passed since Catriona was with Sesshomaru, & one day her son, Isamu, asks about his dad & Aunt Kagome. Soon after, it is decided that she would go to Tokyo, along with Isamu, so he could meet his Aunt Kagome for the first time in his life.
The day Catriona & Isamu arrive at the Higurashi's Sunset Shrine, Kagome greets them; this is the first time she has known of Catriona's child. Later, Isamu get to meet his Uncles Inu Yasha & Shippo; oddly enough the two half demons get along fine despite the fact that he's Sesshomaru's son.
That same day, Catriona, Kagome, Inu Yasha, & Shippo take Isamu through the well to the feudal era. At Kaede's village, Catriona is welcomed with open arms & so is her son, but one person object to him, Miroku.
The houshi & the child do not get along because of the fear that radiates from Catriona when Miroku is around. At the same time, they begin to distrust one another because of an encounter between Catriona & Miroku.
After a few days pass, Inu Yasha sets out to find his brother & inform him of Catriona's return. Soon after, Catriona is taken to her lover's castle & things are fine until naraku steps in.
When Naraku kidsnaps Isamu, Inu Yasha & Sesshomaru work together to find the young half demon & rescue him. Because of this, Catriona is left alone at Sesshomaru's castle & is put under the care of Miroku until her lover & her friend return with her child. During this time, trouble rears its ugly head.
