Joel and Jeanne finally went back inside. Jeanne had worn her coat outside so she was still dry, but Joel was soaked to the bone.
"Guys, I'm going home." Joel grabbed his coat but didn't bother to put it on, he just walked out into the rain again.
Harmony walked out just after him. "Joel? What's wrong babe?"
Joel looked at Harmony and shook his head. "Nothing. Just tired. I'm just gonna go back to the house."
"Want me to come?"
Joel knew all she wanted was sex, but he wanted to be alone. "No, stay, have fun."
Harmony looked a little hurt and nodded. "OK. I'll see you in a while." She turned and went back inside.
Joel walked home back to Harmony and Jeanne's house. He and the guys were staying with them while they were in town. He took off his wet clothes and got in the shower.
He leaned his hands on the wall and hung his head as the hot water poured over him. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the bathroom door. He sighed, "Who is it?"
"Jeanne. I wanted to talk to you. Can I come in?"
"I don't care." He mumbled.
Jeanne came in and sat on the sink. She looked at the shower. "Joel, what's wrong?"
"What makes you think anything's wrong?"
Jeanne smirked. "Womans intuition. Now tell me: Are you happy with Harmony?"
"What man wouldn't be?" He tried to sound happy, but he couldn't.
"You're not happy; I know you aren't. What would make you happy?"
Joel sighed and turned off the water. He looked around the shower curtain and saw Jeanne. She had been crying. "J, have you been crying?"
She handed him a towel and turned away. "No."
Joel wrapped the towel around his waist. He turned her around and looked at her. "What's wrong?"
"I didn't want to tell you, but Harmony, well, she's..." Jeanne didn't want what she had to say to hurt Joel.
"Cheating on me? I know."
Jeanne hugged Joel. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be." He pulled away and looked at her, she was now wet. "Sorry bout that."
"It's OK. I got time before the others get home." She touched Joels cheek. "I'm kicking Harmony outta the house. All she does is sit on the couch while Kat and I pay bills anyhow." She looked into Joels eyes. "I know what you said earlier wasn't a random thought about Harm."
"Yeah, so who was it about?"
"I dunno... yet." She bit her lip. "But I'll figure it out."
