My name is Katie Lee. I was born in Anyang City Korea. I live in the same house where I was born. There are many things I can be thankful for and hold in my mind from happy childhood memories. There are 7 people in my family who live in the same house. My mother is very beautiful and smart. Most of all, she always trusts me, so I thank her for her faith, and I try to do what she expects as a parent. Two nephews are very lovely girls. When I ask them �Who are you, my babies??they say, �We are all aunt�s daughters!?I can�t stop loving them. And then, let me talk about my younger brother. He is an engineer at BMW Korean branch. His major was mechanical engineering and he loves cars and has wide knowledge about them. I like talking with him and listening to his job. I�m very proud of my younger brother who has professionalism in his job.
My major is early childhood education. I love children and sharing what I know. I think that teaching and being a nurse in a kindergarten is an interesting and valuable job, and it will be needed widely in the near a future because of increasing two-paycheck couples. It�s a fascinating job, but I also want to study more theoretical field and meet more people, so I decided to be a civil official, and now I work for Anyang City, my home town. I acquired many merits of gentleness and sharing knowledge with people during my kindergarten work and those are very useful in my present work. I thank my family and God that I�m working now!
Anyang City is the one of the cities in Gyeonggi Province. About 600,000 people live in Anyang City, which is 58.5Km2.The name Anyang is originated from Anyang Temple, which was founded by Whanggun, the founder of the Koryo Nation.Anyang in Buddhism means �land of happiness and utopia where everything is in harmony with no anguish but only pleasure.?Mount Samsung and Suri surround Anyang city, and Anyang stream flows through the city. Industrial roads, railways and subways pass also through the city. Transportation of Anyang city is very comfortable and easy to use. There are two professional sports team in Anyang City: Anyang LG Cheetahs Professional Soccer Team & Anyang SBS Stars Professional Basket Team. Also there is a big sports complex which people can use easily and Orchestra which hold many performances. Many beautiful mountains and temples are also found in Anyang City.
When people move into a new area, they come to my office to register their new address. If they don�t come in, they will be removed from the resident registration in Korea. Then, they can�t get work or identification. In that case, we have to impose a penalty on that person. This is all required by law. It�s important to count registration of moving in and out in our country. It�s very useful to know the city�s population for financial affairs and citizens' welfare planning. In summary, I register citizens' new addresses and verify that people still live at the address where they are registered.
What a beautiful sight! There are many mountains covered with snow around our dormitory. When I arrived here, the weather was hot, but the mountain�s snow made an illusion that I was in winter. I�ve fully enjoyed the clean nature. Surprisingly, in the stormy day I've arrived I saw an earthworm which I haven't seen since my childhood. The wide and clean streets in Utah make me have composure. I can�t believe them and I thank my healthful legs and shoes. The abundance of eating in Utah makes me surprised, and I can�t understand why there is so much overeating. It is a waste, though I�m excited and am enjoying the eating abundant and strange food. I guess that these are blessings to this country. People in Utah seem to be free and positive. I came here with a positive and eager attitude to have training English. I think that it�s a good challenge to get a advanced stimulus for me
We went to the Business to Business Expo downtown on April 28.What an exciting thing! I couldn�t believe those various sights that looked like interesting shows but I tried to enjoy those. Those are very fun and useful experiences. I went to the Salt Lake County booth wondering about the system of resident registration in Utah. The guide introduced how she identifies and registers citizens in Utah. It�s very useful to me to understand the similarity and differences between Utah and our country.
We traveled to Arches National Park on May 1 and 2. I have scarcely talked about the sights. The grandeur of the sights made me feel like I was a dot. Nature had led an active life continuously. I thought that it�s a miracle that I got on my feet on the mother earth. It�s a very thankful and fantastic experience.
I like to travel and enjoy differences with an open mind. Especially, I would like to speak English fluently. I think that this English training is very meaningful to me. This training motivates me to study English and learn about different cultures more and more. For an example, there is a different method of getting information for administrative management of citizens between Utah and our country. I would like to know about this different system and introduce this variety to my city. Additionally, I would like to introduce our country�s source of cultural pride to the world. Individually, I would like to learn English better and advance my life higher everyday. Thanks for experience in Utah. My heart is full!
