Site Tips

1. Update the site as much as you can cause no one wants to see the same update for a month or so .

2. Change the layout once a month cause after a while a layout can become rather boring . If your's is a news site then the layouts can stay longer .

3. Learn the basic programming language that is HTML . This will help you in coding the site and will help you put things where you want them to be . Can be hard in the beginning ..

4. Post a little about yourself so that people can know who you are . You will find it a little hard to post about yourself in the beginning but you will get used to it .

5. Do NOT steal content from other sites . You can get into serious trouble if u do that .

6. Try to reduce the scrolling on your site cause people dont want to be scrolling up and down .

7. The text on the site should suit the background . ie. Dark Text for a light background and Light Text for a dark background .

8. Dont play around too much with the colors on your site . Use upto 3 different colors . Anything more than that and your site wont look professional .

9. Make a section where people have fun. I mean, change some pictures like that you put what people on picture are talking, or put different clothes, face, hair, eyes...All that you can do in Paint!

10. Be sure to have affiliates . So that when people visit your site they come to know about other fansites as well .

12. Even if you are not good at something , ask others for help . Not doing so can lead to a lot of mess ups .

13. Try to affiliate other sites . This will help you gain popularity and it can help the other site as well .

14. Submit your site to search engines such as google.com , lycos etc. This will help to increase traffic .
