Diafana Krina in Greek means �Transparent Lilies�. Diafana Krina created in 1991 and their first 7� EP �Melting Alone / Under The Volcano� was published in 1994 in few copies by Wipe Out. The same year their song �Moldfly: The Ballad Of Fire� was in the collection album with other bands, �The Magic Herb� by Wipe Out.
In 1996 they published their first album �The Deprivation Became Our Habit� (2LP � 1CD) by Wipe Out. The album is one of the best Greek rock albums ever. In 1997 they played live in Athens at the festival �Rock Of Gods� with bands like �Sisters Of Mercy� and �New Model Army�.
In 1998 they published their second album �Some Ramshackle Hearts� (2LP � 1CD) by Wipe Out. The reviews of the album mention that is the best Greek rock album in the Greek rock musical history. The same year they played live everywhere in Greece.
In 2000 they published the EP �It Is Just That It All Came Too Late� (7� 2LP � 1CD) by their own record label �This Is My Voice Records�. The same year they published their third album �The Silences Are Smelling Sweetly Wild Cherries� (2LP � 1CD) by �This Is My Voice Records�. The same year they made a cover in the song �Death� of Pavlos Sidiropoulos and they were in the collection album by �EMI� �To P: Tribute To Pavlos Sidiropoulos�.
In 2001 they published the EP �New Place / Under The Volcano (Acoustic)� by �Sweet Mistakes� in the fanzine magazine �Fractal Press�. The same year Diafana Krina played live in England (Manchester, Brighton, London) with the Greek band �Closer�. |
