Session 13 [29 April 2005]: (...continued)

The party go down the stairs into level 5, coming immediately into contact (a) with some night clans and dune beasts.  One of them attacks blog goth and another hits the cleric.  Sadak immediately shoots one of his deadly fireballs and kills 5 of the night clan demons and wounds the others.  Furious, the cleric charges into one of them however he fails to hit any of them while magnus advances and kills 2 of the remaining.  Blog goth turns and attacks a dune beast, however he damages his weapon.  A night clan archer tries to shoot the cleric but his arrow passed harmlessly by.  The dune beast retaliates and hits the barbarian, getting wounded slightly from the thorns upon the barbarian's armor.  Another fireball from sadak killed the remaining 9 night clan demons.  Immediately the fighter attacked a dune beast, hitting one of them but damaging his weapon in the process.  Blog goth followed suite and wounded mortally the other dune beast.  Both dune beasts fell upon the barbarian, clawing him, damaging his helm in the process.  Sadak, realizing the danger his companion was in, cast an armour of undeath upon the barbarian, which filled the towering human which new life!  The cleric put in his finger too, casting a searing light and finishing off one of the beasts.  Enraged the barbarian attacked the last one and wounded it severely, with the dune beast clawing at the barbarian again.   Taking no chances the mage shoots a powerful magical missile killing the dune beast outright.  The party members each shared in the spoils among the cadavers... Lysander found 165 gp and a short sword, magnus found 165 gp and a leather armour, the mage picked up a heavy pick, a magical rapier and a broken orb and the barbarian found 110 gp. 

In an adjacent chamber (b) the party confronts some more dune beasts beasts.  Magnus immediately rushes into battle and squeezes the life out of one of the beasts.  The hands of the sorcerer suddenly glowed red as fire leapt out of them killing two beasts instantly and injured one of the remaining.  Blog goth rushes in too and finishes off the injured dune beast, damaging his glaive in the process.  The cleric too had his share in combat, wounding the last one but it was magnus who finished the beast off.  As magnus opened the lid of the coffin which was in the middle of the room, 2 burning dead skeletons awoke and immediately engaged the party into combat.  Without hesitation, lysander cast a consecrated bolt on one of them, destroying it immediately.  The barbarian switches his weapon as he closes distance with the remaining skeleton, swinging his flail high in the air, he brought it down upon the burning skull, wounding the skeleton badly.  Magnus swung his glaive shattering the skeleton into pieces.  From the cadavers Magnus picked up a heavy crossbow and a hunters bow, sadak found 128 gp and a magical light pick and the barbarian found 148 gp.

In the middle of another chamber (c), there was the book entitled "The great conflict" which lysander read out loud. 

Session 14 [13 May 2005]:

The adventurers advance deeper in to the dungeon, coming upon a large stone upon a pedestal (d).  A staircase leading up was nearby.  Blog goth had heard griswold telling stories of a piece of heavens which fell upon the earth, and decided to take this piece of rock to show it to him.  The adventurers took the new stairs up, leading directly out of the dungeons into the crypt outside the cemetery in Tristram.  Griswold told the adventurers to give him 24 hours to work something out of the piece of stone.  He also told them about the armor of valor.  It was at this instance that the barbarian disagreed with his companions.  He wanted to wait for griswold to finish off what he was doing with the piece of rock.  stubbornly the others refused, and when they descended, the barbarian ventured alone deep into the dungeon.  Magnus opens the door into a room (e) and finds some moon clan demons.  In the meanwhile, blog goth goes down the passage (f), until he encounters some gloom bats.  Giving them no chance, sadak shoots a fireball and kills off 9 of the moon clan.  Magnus kills 2 others and the cleric injures another.  Alone blog goth took on the gloom bats, wounding one of them, whilst the others surround him.  In the meanwhile, some decayed advanced upon the other 3, and sadak shot another fireball, killing 4 other moon clan goats demons and injuring a decayed.  One of the remaining moon clan injures the battle mage slightly.  The fighter swung his glaive, hitting the decayed and killing him, while in another attack he puts down a moon clan.  Lysander cast a circle of protection against evil, giving enough time for sadak to cast another fireball, killing 2 moon clan and another decayed.  In the meantime, down the passage, the barbarian was suffering very badly from the attacks of the gloom bats.  With the lightning shocks, they soon extinguished the barbarian's life!  In a massive attack, the bats shocked him to death, the towering figure fell down to the cold ground.  Lysander started to recite the words of summoning while sadak boosted his defenses with a mage armor, to prepare for the coming attack.  The fighter attacks one of the gloom bats, wounding it slightly but also damaging his glaive.  He hits another 2 as he got circled.  2 other gloom bats hit the mage.  Magnus attacks again and kills off the gloom bat.  Suddenly a celestial light fills the chamber as the summoned lion materializes.  It immediately claws one of the gloom bats to death.  Lysander saw the mage bleeding heavily, from the attacks, and cast a curing spell upon him, curing his serious wounds.  Sadak recovered and cast another fireball, killing a decayed and a gloom bat.  Magnus kills another gloom bat, and wounds the last remaining decayed, damaging his weapon once more.  The lion bites off at the decayed, mortally wounding it, but it was the cleric who brought down the zombie with a powerful consecrated bolt.   Searching among the cadavers, magnus found 445 gp, lysander found 440 gp, sadak 670 gp and a magical falchion.  Then they took the corpse of blog goth up to Tristram...

Session 15 [27 May 2005]:

Back in Tristram, Pepin performed a a resurrection of blog goth apart from healing the others.  When the barbarian came to himself again they went down the dungeon.  However before they descended, Griswold told them about a magical armor which was used by a paladin of the God sardalis.  When they descend they immediately arrive upon a room with a shrine in it (G).  There are also some demons from the moon clan.  Immediately magnus attacks and wounds slightly one of them, but also damages his glaive.  Lysander attacks another demon and kills him while the barbarian attacks the leader of the pack, Bloodskin.  Sadak shoots a magical missile straight into bloodskin.  In retaliation, bloodskin attacks the barbarian, injuring him slightly.  Another moon clan attacks the barbarian too, both demons take damage from the thorns upon the barbarian's armor.  Magnus turns to attack bloodskin, felling him in a couple of attacks.  With the powerful strike he also cleaved down another moon clan demon.  Lysander wounded the demon he was fighting.  Blog goth attacked and killed a couple of moon clan when another missile slammed into the body of another demon, burning it outright.  The moon clan hits lysander, but then magnus struck him down with his glaive.  Among the corpses, the barbarian found 170 gold.  Blog goth touched the shrine, suffering some damage as he did so, as the shrine was cryptic.  Going further, they arrive in a room (h) with a fountain of tears.  Sadak, Magnus and Lysander all went down to drink from the fountain.

They go deeper in the dungeon, coming to a room with double doors (I).  Out of the darkness, 4 decayed zombies materialized.  In an instant, sadak shoots a fireball and wounded them all.  Blog goth rushed straight into them, but his glaive got damage when he hit it against the wall.  The 4 decayed surround the barbarian, but he defended well against them, being hit only once.  Magnus slashes one of the zombies to death while lysander cast a turn undead on them which made them back off in fear.  This gave ample space for sadak to finish them off all 3 together with another fireball.  Among the cadavers Magnus found 115 gold, Sadak found a magical padded armor, and Lysander found a great helm which he immediately gave to the fighter.

Blog Goth opens the door to enter a small chamber (j).  Dune beasts appear from the dark, but sadak cast immediately a magical missile on one of them.  Magnus hit the injured dune beast a couple of times.  The creatures retaliated, by hitting the fighter back.  Lysander violently lashes out his bastard sword, splitting a dune beast in half.  The barbarian hit slightly another monster but damaged his weapon.  Seeing the fighter in danger, sadak cast upon him an armour of undeath from the slain dune beast corpse.  Slashing at the monster, magnus hit it another couple of times while the cleric casts a rebuke and stuns the other.  Seizing the chance the barbarian hit the stunned creature a couple of times while a powerful magical missile slammed into the other creature.  The heavily injured beast hit back at magnus, injuring him slightly more.  Lysander advanced upon the stunned creature and kills him off.  Blog goth turns to the last remaining dune beast and gives him a good blow.  Another magical missile crushed into the beast's body, while everyone was surrounding it.  But after the hard fight with it, magnus finally killed the beast.  The cleric immediately healed him from his wounds before going to the pedestal to read the book of blood.

Having read the passage from the book, the cleric opened another door at the back of the chamber.  In the middle of the new chamber, was a fountain of blood, and, nearby, lying on the floor was a bloodstone.  The cleric placed the stone upon the fountain and a faint click sounded as the stone slid into place.

Going back out and around the western part they found a door leading into another chamber (k) with dune beasts.  The barbarian immediately hit one of them with his glaive, giving the cleric time to cast his rebuke spell.  However this time the spell failed to work.  Magnus joined in the fight immediately, hitting the injured beast.  Sadak used a spider climb to position himself on the dungeon roof, to get a clear view of the monsters.  The barbarian slashed again at the dune beast, while magnus turned and attacked the other beast.  However he damaged his weapon by hitting the dungeon wall in one of his lounges.  From above, the mage let out a dragon's breath mortally injuring both beasts.  Lysander cast a consecrated bolt, killing one of the creatures.  The remaining beast attacked with ferocity the barbarian, mauling him down almost killing him.  But the fighter jumped upon it and slashed it to death.  Recovering from the ferocious attack blog goth drank some healing potions to regain back his health.  Among the cadavers, Lysander found a broad axe.  They pick up the blood stone, and take it back to the fountain.  Another faint click is heard, this time form the eastern part of the chamber.

They go to the eastern part (L) coming face to face with some more dune beasts.  One of the beast immediately injures the barbarian while the other tries to attack the fighter but to no avail.  Magnus hit back, damaging his weapon against the dungeon walls.  The barbarian also dishes out damage to the dune beast, attacking him twice in succession.  The mage, still clinging from the roof, cast acid splash on one of the beasts, killing it immediately.  The cleric doomed the remaining beast, however it still managed to hit blog goth.  The barbarian once more hit the creature a couple times more, but it was sadak with another acid splash who brought down the wounded beast. The cleric healed sadak and the party returned the third blood stone to its rightful place in the fountain.

On placing the last stone upon the fountain of blood, a hidden passage suddenly opened, revealing a corridor into large chamber (m).  The cleric immediately cast a magical circle against evil.  The barbarian moved aside and hits a dune beast a couple of times.  Magnus joined in the fight and brought him down with a couple of well placed blows.  Sadak shoots one of his deadly fireball in the chamber giving time for the cleric to start his summoning ritual.  Another dune beast tries to get past the blog goth and magnus, but gets hit by both of them, magnus placing another blow to a critical part, killing it instantly.  The blow was so powerful that the beast behind the dead one got injured too!  The barbarian seized the opportunity and struck the creature bringing it down too.  A scorching flame leapt out from sadak's hand slamming directly into another beast, roasting it alive.  Lysander finished his summoning procedure and a lion materialized, attacking the last dune beast in the chamber.  The cleric cast a searing light on it too wounding it mortally, however magnus slashed with his falchion, decapitating its head from the body!  in A quick search of the corpses blog goth finds 165gp and the cleric the same amount on another corpse.

Session 16 [11 June 2005]:

They go back to Tristram from the stairway they found leading directly to the town.  Deckard cain identified the padded armor as an awesome padded armor.

They continue further deep into the dungeon, finishing up in a room (n) with decayed and nightclan goat demons.  the fighter soon hits one of the decayed and wounds it slightly.  Lysander moves next to the door and casts divine power onto himself.  One of the demons shoots an arrow into blog goth, who was blocking the doorway.  Stepping back, the barbarian slashes at one of the demons, wounding it.  Sadak moves back and casts a fireball inside the chamber, burning everything.  The 6 zombies and 3 demons were nothing but charred remains.  Even Blog goth got hit slightly from the raging fireball burning a small part of his skin.  A search among the ashened remains resulted in gold, 145gp for blog goth, 255 gp for the fighter and 120gp for lysander.

Deeper and deeper they go, into another room (o) with those pesky nightclan.  Magnus soon engages one of the demons however he damaged his weapon by hitting the wall before wounding the goatman.  Sadak shoots a magical missile killing the demon instantly.  Lysander locks into battle with another one, slashing it with his bastard sword.  Blog goth attacked the last one, hitting it a couple of times.  The fighter, free from his target, slashed at the wounded goat demon, killing it, while nearby, with a well aimed blow, lysander finished off his target too.  Magnus found 180 gp on one of them, while blog goth took off a charm from another.  Sadak picked up a dagger from the last corpse.

in a nearby chamber (p), the party encounter some of the deadly gloom bats.  Led by foulwing, the gloom bats menacingly attacked the heroes.  Lysander immediately cast onto himself a spell to resist electricity.  Immediately one of the bats targeted him and hit him, dealing some electrical damage despite the resistances.  Sadak from behind shoots one of his magic missiles into the bat while magnus slashes at it with his glaive.  Blog goth clipped it and attacked foulwing.  Lysander wounds the gloom bat in front of him, however he chipped part of the blade of his sword in doing so.  another magic missile crashed onto a bat, mortally wounding it.  The fighter slashed down the injured bat and turned his attention towards foulwing.  In the meantime, the leader wounded lysander, who in turn slashed with his sword back at him.  Sadak approached the powerful bat and slammed a magical missile into it, almost killing it.  This gave the fighter chance to rid foulwing of its life.  On the other side of the chamber, the barbarian hit another gloom bat while another bat attacked lysander.  Sadak and magnus simultaneously attacked the bats, helping the cleric and blog goth.  Lysander brought down his target while magnus slashed the last bat to death.  Among the bodies of the dead, sadak found 130 gp.  Before continuing lysander cured his serious wounds recovering from the wounds inflicted by the bats.

They go into another dungeon room (q), filled with nightclan.  Lysander cast around him a magical circle against evil.  Suddenly arrows rained upon the group, one of them hitting the fighter.  Blog goth rushes and strikes at the nearby demon, followed closely by magnus.  Sadak lashes out a deadly fireball killing one of the nightclan.  Out of the darkness, a couple of decayed materialized and attacked the cleric.  The cleric hit back at one of them.  Then demon after demon tried to go for the mage, however both the fighter and the barbarian were ready for them.  The ifghter kills a couple of them while injuring two more.  The barbarian injures the ones rushing past him while killing a couple of he demons and injures one of the decayed.  The fighter then turned and cleaved down a couple of decayed.  The room was still full of the monsters, but sadak unleashed another fireball, this time kiling off 6 night clan demons and a decayed!  Suddenly Lysadner's hands glowed white as searing light burnt into the flesh of the decayed.  Blog goth attacked the last demon weakening it.  Seizing the chance, the fighter brought it down for good.  Among the remains, blog goth picked up a long sword and took off a studded leather from a corpse, while lysander found 200gp.  Sadak found 125gp and a longbow from one of the goat demons.  Magnus found 230gp and an elixir of damage.  The the middle of the chamber was a purifying spring.  When sadak drank from it it's water magically disappeared, flowing into the sorcerer's body, granting him an extra spell!

In the deepest recesses of the dungeon, the adventurer stumbled upon a room (r) filled with moon clan and night clan.  The fighter attacked one of the night clan, almost killing it.  The barbarian attacked another however his attack was dodged.  The injured demon tried to attack Magnus, but got impaled upon the spikes of his armour!  Lysander cast a consecrated bolt upon another nigh clan, injuring it slightly.  Sadak cast again another fireball, burning everything to ashes, killing outright the remaining 2 night clan and 4 moon clan!  Among the ashes lysander found a total of 345gp.

Session 17 [15 July 2005]:

They continue on their way opening another heavy oak door to a dark chamber (s).  Suddenly, out of the shadows materialized a band of dark ones with their leader Shadow crow.  Magnus immediately rushed upon the pack leader giving him a bash with his glaive.  The small imp retaliated back injuring slightly the fighter, but Lysander came in to help slashing at the demon with his bastard sword.  Blog goth wasted no time to enter the chamber and hitting shadow crow.  The blow was hard upon the demon and it fell dead at the barbarian's feet.  The fighter struck again this time at a dark one.  All the other demons tried to surround the party and attacked blog goth, but he managed to defend himself from all but one.  As they were attacking the barbarian, the fighter finished off 3 of them while sadak had imbued his crossbow with a flurry of arrows spell and shot dead another one with 3 bolts!  Lysander swung his sword and caught one of the dark ones, killing it outright.  Free from any engagement, blog goth stepped in the middle of the blood bath and slashed at the surrounding demons.  His blow was so powerful that it cleaved through 5 of the dark ones, killing them all.  Facing the towering barbarian the last remaining 3 demons attacked him, but only one managed to wound him slightly, however due to injuries sustained in the previous chambers, the barbarian was all cut up and badly wounded.  The fighter stepped aside and brought down his weapon.  2 more demons fell dead.  Then another 3 bolts hammered into the last demon's chest, impaling it lifeless to the wall behind it!  A quick search among the cadavers blog goth found a ring and a large shield, sadak  found a light crossbow, Magnus found a handaxe and lysander picked up 125 gp.  When Magnus tried to open a chest he triggered an explosive mechanism that went off in his face.  Fortunately he was only slightly injured.  Lysander then noticed that Blog goth was badly injured and so he healed him. 

There was only one door left opening to an unexplored part of the dungeon (T).  When lysander opened it he was confronted by 5 decayed zombies!  From behind him, magnus bashed down his glaive on the nearest one, wounding it slightly.  Blog goth rushed into the room and slashed at another one.  But then lysander tried a totally unexpected move.  He grabbed one of the undead and hugged him tightly against his magical armor.  Violent groans filled the dungeon as the undead disintegrated!  Rushing into the chamber, sadak immediately let off one of his scorching flames into the remaining undead, burning all 4 of them to cinder!  Lysander stooped down to pick 165gp and when he went to search in a treasure chest he too triggered off another trap!
