Presidential Fitness Sports Award
1st Annual Diabetic Challenge
Bi County Global Diabetes Support Group
Are you up to the challenge?
Well, if you think you are, then take the Presidents sports award /diabetic challenge. Many diabetics don't think that exercise of any sort will help with the developing complications. Often they claim that it's too painful to walk and stand. That is due to neuropathy setting in, and out of control blood sugars. Research has shown that by doing an extra little bit of exercise daily or at least three times a week, you can increase glucose useage, loose weight, increase circulation, and overall improve your helath. Exercise releases endorphins that may make you feel positive! And what could be wrong with that.
Many older diabetic simply refuse to acknowledge their own diabetes, and denial of their condition is why so many  have complications. Following the ADA diet, sleep and exercise routine helps  ALL diabetics to live a longer healthier and happier life.
With the number of diabetics being diagnosed and their mean age being younger, its often hard to keep apositive attitude. This Challenege is done not specifically for diabetics, but We, the ADA and NDEP challenge you the diabetic to accomplish something positive. That means getting recognition for something even tho you have diabetes. Thast why teh Diabetic Challenege is so good.
It gives you incentive to try and accomplish something good for yourself, and set an example for others!
