There's a fine line
Between red and green
The narrow space of an
impossibility
Like a soft opening of brushes of
Eyebrows dipped into the
morning's first light
Between seen and unseen
Waiting to be filled by
An unborn color.
There's a fine line
Between a word and another
Choosing each other
Following close -
tail head tale had
been that ever since
the unquestionable first sparkle
Between you and me
Undulating line of petals
beats and warm breaths
birth of a poem
A comma needing steadier
footing
else dropping
,
dropped.
A little leafquake
Up in the appletree
Narrow as the crack
on the treehouse floor
Causing swirls of flowers,
Between night and day
Winter and spring
Each breathing renewal.

There's a fine line
Between old and new
Forgot and knew
Silence and song
Infinity and so long
Between strings of thoughts
Two steps, said and done
Courage and run
Earth and the sky
Moth and butterfly
Blindness and wander
Question and wonder
Blindness and question
Melting in heartbeats
Answer and question
e q u i l i b r i u m
Is the steadier footing
Of the open heart
Between an end and a start
