BACK
Too much sun..

I took the bus to nowhere,
The stop on the bridge
So lighted up by sun
Beams and water sparkles,
The places I see,
The people I'll talk to,
Today they belong to nowhere,
Within a half an hour's
Ride, I sit by the window,
I feel the woman next to me
Moving, stretching, searching,
Her bags on the bus floor,
And her elbow accidentally
Touching my arm, and I retract
Inside myself, my shell,
So exposed today by your words.
I always knew my soul was a wound,
But I never knew you could
Open it like this and make it bleed,
It's almost captivating,
Hypnotizing; all my senses
Are painful tentacles today,
On this trip to nowhere,
Somewhere where my
Eyes won't hurt so bad
From the sun - far away
From your arms
And kisses on my knee.

I need you. I need to
Breathe again the
Thin air around your neck.

It's 9 o'clock and
The woman next to me smiles,
And I hurry my way off and
On the streets, again,

Today I belong to nowhere.
