| THERE'S A TIME . there's a time when poetry dies when he turns his back and she hides her tear there's a time when words fail when his heart is closed and she can't make him hear there's a time when there's only fear when he's out in the night and she loses his sight there's a time when all things lose meaning.. when she stands back against the wall smoking... waiting for his return untouched, beautiful. still. in the light, watching. passers-by hurry their way always ahead, they never turn a look, a smile, a tear, one word. maybe not even a thought. there's a time when memories burn. when he's gone. and she's alone. engraved on the cherry-tree their love heart bleeding. there's a time like a second dying .
