BACK
Burning Suns
take a word
and make it
what it's never been
before: bird. valley.
burn. dot. one. slide.
take a verb and
give it life, then
watch it grow -
wheat's growth
before the seed
turns into gold.
make a mill spin
its huge arms
until the evil
in the world is gone.
paint the sky blue
and when it rains
let me drink
your warm dewdrops.
learn to talk
the language of flowers
and kissing irises,
stretching wings
to fly away home or
walk upon water,
the field of stars,
the paths of souls.
be a burning light
even if the sun will burn out.
someday may never be.
trembling discoveries.
and i - i that you don't
yet percieve - I
will hang smiles upon
your lips unmistakenly
day and night.
i'll reduce out of reach
to silence
and i'll make you mine.
