| 18th February 2002 * There have been lots of developments in the Eye Tv Camp recently. The most significant of these is that they have parted company with both Grant (keyboard player) and with their record company. Full details can be read below. * The animated video for new single Worse For Wear has been launched on tv. You can catch it on programs like Juice TV. * Some gigs are coming up - Sean will be playing a solo set at Auckland Uni as part of their orientation... and there appears to be an upcoming gig at the Temple in Auckland too, * The New Years gig in Wellington rocked everybody's socks off! Ta to the boys for a fabulous trip down :) * Sean, Luke and Mike are all looking forward to what 2002 holds for them.....they've been working on new material and we can look forward to a new album soon. Developments in the EYE TV camp: January 2002 "From the 18th of January Eye Tv will no longer be signed to Antenna records. This ends a decade of rock on one of the premier NZ independent labels. The band have described this move as 'intensely liberating'. Eye TV intend to release future material on their own label. The band has spent the last few months demo-ing new material for a new album to be recorded sometime in 2002. They have written 20 new songs and hope to have up to 40 by the time it comes to record." "The decision to part ways with keyboardist Grant Winterburn has been described as a 'completely mutual' situation by the band. Grant will be continuing his involvement with musicals and theatre productions" 8th November 2001 * The boys are on a bit of a break at the moment. Univeristy stress for some, seeing the world for others! The Eye TV camp will be back in full swing towards the end of the year with lots of exciting happenings. * There is an exciting international producer lined up for the next album which looks likely to be recorded overseas in Germany. * The video for the new single Worse For Wear has been made. It is a classy animated effort and should be seen on television screens soon. |
