• NOTES ON WILLIAM SHRADER ,SR: Family story says William Shrader came to America when he was six years old. His entire family was on board ship and they all became sick and died while at sea. Only William survived to arrive at Philadelphia. He was indentured to pay for his passage and went to live with a farmer. When he was of age he married the farmers daughter and went out on his own.
