2005 New Events
Quarterly Children Events � the new Committee this year would like to introduce special events for young children. The feedback received from our members in the past has been that all the regularly scheduled Samaj events are geared towards adults and there is nothing planned for children. Based on this, the new Committee is committed to scheduling at least one event every quarter for children. Some suggestions that were discussed at the committee meeting included:
- Visit to a museum or Philadelphia Zoo
- Special craft projects for children with emphasis on our culture (these could be brought to the picnic etc)
- Visit to the an amusement park like Sesame Place
- Special Halloween party and/or sleepovers
Note that these were some suggestions however more importantly we�d like to hear from the children and parents of our members for suggestions on what would they like to do. A special contact list for all children in the Samaj will be established to allow the direct communication of the scheduled events and allow them to offer suggestions as well. Many of the children already communicate amongst themselves using Instant Messenger and e-mail.
