I bring you greetings from the Dublin Historic Neighborhood Association. Please consider establishing an amnesty period for turning in old tires. Residents of our neighborhood know the location of many discarded old tires. We already have use of a truck to collect them and take them to the landfill or to a collection point established by the city government. As you know, old tires are not only unsightly but also are a breeding place for mosquitoes. An amnesty period would permit all Dublin residents and service clubs to help beautify our city and get rid of a potential health risk at the same time.
Also, it would give the City Council a lot of good publicity.
