The stream is slower moving along the southern part of the trail, but it is beautiful. It flows through wider valleys with nice long distance views and there are several bridges where the trail crosses the stream like this one at Waterville. Waterville has a country store to buy snacks and there is a small park by the trail a short distance north of the bridge to each lunch. There is a restaurant which wasn't open on the Sunday we passed. Next picture. Back to home page.
