Enfield Shaker Historic Site and Museum
The Enfield Shaker Historic Site and Museum is a good place to visit while in Enfield. It is about a mile and a half from the closest point on the bike path. Go west on the path about .5 miles to a point where Main St. is very close to the path. Take Main St. in the same direction, cross the causeway and bridge over the lake to Rt 4A which is about .5 miles. There is a beach and swimming area at Main St. and Rt. 4A. Go left about three fourths of a mile to the Shaker Village. Rt. 4A has moderate traffic, but doesn't have a shoulder. It isn't hilly. It also can be easily reached by car from the Enfield bike path parking area.
